About the Artist
Sketchnate is an artist whose vibrant characters bring the extraordinary to life by capturing the essence of human experiences. His work is influenced by the world around him, where he finds beauty in the often ignored or overlooked quirks and oddities of everyday life. Each character he creates embodies these unique traits that may make us feel like outliers but are symbols of the common threads that tie us together. Through his art, Sketchnate explores the idea that what makes us strange is also what makes us connected, bridging differences through a shared sense of wonder and humanity.
 
Supporting Art City
Art City Kids is a registered Canadian charity, established by a group of local artists & educators who sought to create more resources for children in St. James Town. They aim to make arts education accessible to communities made vulnerable by systemic barriers by providing arts programming & day camps completely free of charge to children & youth in St. James Town. Since 2000, Art City Kids have created many public murals, art exhibitions & creative community projects that reflect the beauty, individuality, diversity & pride in our neighborhood.
