About the Artist

Traci L. Turner is a visual artist based in Reno, NV. She has been painting and sharing her work professionally since 2013. Her expressionistic oil paintings often use bold colors and familiar imagery. She might turn it into a work of art if you ever become a meme.

About the Art

This was a piece from my human heart series called "Los Corazónes." This painting was an exercise in complementary color relationships, a challenge to combine red and green in a way that didn't invoke "Christmas."  It was the only red heart that I had painted up to that point, so I decided that it would have more of an impact against the green background. The name is a nod to old-school candy.
